A Ranchi cab company that knows Ranchi
We started Capital Cab Ranchi with two cars and one rule: never quote a fare we wouldn't pay ourselves. Eight years and 12,000+ rides later, that rule still runs the show.
Our story
It started in 2017. The founder, born and raised in Doranda, was helping a cousin's family book a cab to Netarhat — and watched them get quoted three different fares by three different aggregators in one evening. Surge pricing, hidden "driver bhatta", mystery night charges. They cancelled the trip.
That weekend, the first Capital Cab — a second-hand Dzire — drove that same family to Magnolia Point for the Netarhat sunset. Fixed fare. No surge. Driver who knew where to stop for tea on the ghat road.
Eight years later, we're a fleet of 30+ cars covering every postcode in Ranchi, every ghat to Patratu, every waterfall in the radius, and every intercity route from Patna to Jamshedpur. The rule hasn't changed.
What we believe
Local beats algorithmic
An app can compute the shortest path. It can't tell you which dhaba on the Patratu ghat makes the best aloo paratha. We can.
Honest fares, every time
What we quote is what you pay. Tolls, parking, fuel, GST — all baked in. No driver-side surprises.
Drivers are the brand
We pay drivers fairly, train them in basic English, and run background checks. They're not gig workers — they're the company.

We pick up anywhere in Ranchi — Hatia, HEC, Doranda, Lalpur, Kanke, Namkum, Bariatu, Hinoo, Booty More, Ratu Road, Kokar, Morabadi — and drop anywhere in Jharkhand and neighbouring Bihar & West Bengal.
