Near the Khunti–Chaibasa road, the Banai river splits into five distinct cascading waterfalls — hence the name 'Panch' (five) 'Gagh' (falls). It's an easy 200-metre walk from the parking lot to the viewpoint, and an excellent monsoon-season picnic.
